Joost Demunck is a versatile European actor, screenwriter and musician. Born in the Netherlands, he left a promising law career behind to pursue his dream to become and actor.Joost has appeared in many major plays, films and Television shows. Recently in the new hit comedy “HIM”, that received a rave review by the New York Times; As Bertram in Shakespeare's "All's well that ends well" at RADA in London, Valentine in "Two gentlemen of Verona", Lorenzo in "The Merchant of Venice" at LaMama in NY; PinPin in "Dancing downstream" at Manhattan Theater Club. He also starred on screen in "The Music of Sound" (in the lead role of Max Fishman); As Danny in "30 Beats", "Hope and Anchor"); as well as a list of TV appearances such as in "Six Degrees" (ABC Networks), "Conviction" (NBC Networks) and a full season in Holland's number one soap "Good times, Bad times". As a screenwriter, his first full length screenplay (co written with John Griffin) has found great interest at Sundance and from several acclaimed directors on the West Coast. The project is scheduled to film in 2015. In the new year (2013) Joost will be starring in John Benton's new interactive feature film project 'The Illustrationist", go on tour with Clifford Streit's hit show "HIM" and star in a biopic about Jazz legend Chet Baker.Joost speaks (and has acted in) five languages, does over 15 accents (see the Voice over section on this site) and is also active as a DJ and dance music producer.
